How long does it take to dry and cure?2025-06-29T13:42:49+03:00

CB300: Surface drying time: 30 minutes to 4 hours, Full curing time: 1 to 16 hours

CB200: Surface drying time: 30 minutes to 4 hours, Full curing time: Up to 7 days

*Depending on temperature and Humidity.

How should Coreteel’s products be stored?2025-03-27T15:10:07+02:00

Store at room temperature and mix every 6 months if left unused for long periods. Always refer to the product’s safety data sheet (SDS) for specific storage guidelines.

Do Coreteel’s products meet industry standards?2025-06-05T14:50:07+03:00

Yes, CB300 meets ISO 12944-6 C5 High, providing corrosion protection for 15-25 years in onshore environments.

Since CB200 is not a coating, there is no specific standard for it. However, in a weight loss test comparing it to Deep Hot Galvanization, CB200 provided 2.5 times more protection in terms of mass loss over the long term (10,000 hours).

How does it perform in high humidity and saltwater environments?2025-06-05T14:35:17+03:00

Both CB200 and CB300 are highly effective in coastal and marine environments. While CB200 may lose its appearance, the protection remains effective over time.

How should I clean my tools after application?2025-06-05T14:32:09+03:00

Simply use water, as Coreteel’s products are water-based.

Are Coreteel’s products safe for users and the environment?2025-06-05T14:45:15+03:00

Yes, many of the components are sourced from the cosmetic and food industries, making it non-toxic and eco-friendly. Since it is water-based, there are no VOC hazards.

Why should I use CB300 as a part of my paint system?2025-06-05T14:48:31+03:00

Applying CB300 before applying paint layers eliminates the need for abrasive surface preparation, enhances corrosion protection even if the paint layers develop defects, and minimizes corrosion from spreading under the damaged paint site.
Furthermore, CB300 enables the reduction of the overall thickness of the paint system.

Can a surface treated with Coreteel’s products be painted over?2025-06-29T14:19:33+03:00

CB300 is designed for compatibility with coating paint systems and, therefore, requires the application of a topcoat.

When used as a base layer, CB300 enhances the overall corrosion protection of the coating system compared to systems without it.

CB200, on the other hand, is a one-step solution and is not compatible with topcoats.

Does the application of CB products onto surafces require special equipment?2025-06-05T14:58:43+03:00

No, all of Coreteels’s products are intended for application by standard application methods, such as dipping, spraying, brushing, rolling etc..

What types of surfaces can Coreteel’s products be applied to?2025-06-05T15:02:07+03:00

Both CB200 and CB300 can be applied to surfaces which have a layer of Millscale, a layer of thin rust (without loosely bound particles) or that have been sandblasted or otherwise cleaned, featuring exposed metal.

Can it be applied over existing damaged coatings?2025-06-29T14:05:20+03:00

Yes, CB200 & CB300 can be applied over existing damaged coatings, provided that all loosely bound particles and flakes have been properly removed.
In damaged areas, the CB fluid will penetrate and reach the exposed metal surface, whether rusty or bare, forming a protective layer against corrosion.
To ensure optimal adhesion and performance, it is recommended to clean the surface using high-pressure water to remove any loose rust, paint, oil, or other contaminants.

How are Coreteel’s products applied?2025-03-27T15:06:05+02:00

It can be applied using airless spray, air spray, brush, roller, or dipping (for CB200/100).

What surface preparation is required?2025-03-27T15:05:47+02:00

No abrasive blasting is needed. Simply clean the surface with high-pressure water (500 bar/7,250 psi) to remove loose rust, paint, oil, and thinners.

How long does the protection last?2025-03-27T15:05:27+02:00

The duration of protection depends on the environment and specific conditions. Our CB300 in synergy with various paint systems meets the highest standards of the paint industry – ISO 12944 C5-H (15-25 years in a Coastal environment).
Since CB200 is a one-step solution, in a weight loss test comparing it to Hot deep Galvanization, CB200 provided 2.5 times more protection over the very long term (10,000 hours).

How does Coreteel compare to traditional coatings in cost and efficiency?2025-03-27T15:05:01+02:00

Coreteel reduces costs by eliminating abrasive surface preparation, minimizing labor, and extending maintenance cycles. It offers longer protection and requires fewer reapplications than conventional coatings.

How does our protection work?2025-03-27T15:04:43+02:00

The product reacts with the metal, forming a protective oxide layer on the base of the metal itself, preventing rust from forming.

What industries or applications is it suitable for?2025-03-27T15:04:22+02:00

Coreteel is suitable for a wide range of industries, including industrial, urban, coastal, and marine environments, as well as sectors like oil and gas, automotive, mining, and infrastructure projects. We also offer expert guidance to help you choose the right product based on your specific environmental conditions and requirements.

What kind of material is it?2025-03-27T15:04:03+02:00

It is a one-component water-based liquid solution that reacts with metal surfaces to prevent corrosion.

What makes Coreteel different from traditional corrosion protection methods?2025-03-27T15:03:23+02:00

Coreteel’s technology does not coat the metal but chemically transforms the surface, providing long-lasting protection with minimal surface preparation. It is water-based, eco-friendly, and cost-effective, reducing labor and maintenance costs.
